I have just moved to Bend, Oregon -June 2021, and am busy getting settled. Looks like there's a lot of great therapists in the area as well as lots of active, health & fitness oriented people. I look forward to meeting my neighbors and new clientele.
This photo is from Smith Rock Park, 26 miles northeast of Bend, known world-wide for its scenic views and for the rock climbing. I will likely be attending a massage education conference this August in Las Vegas or Tampa, Florida, although now that zoom is so ubiquitous, perhaps I'll get my continuing education there!

Truth is I also go to Whole Foods and Aveda for aromatherapy and other massage therapy products, but Good Earth is my first choice because they are local and because of their commitment to quality sources, "We prioritize products that are certified organic at the 95% level...We spend time with new food companies, helping them understand how we can support them as they enter the marketplace and how organic certification helps the overall Good Earth mission of revolutionizing the American food system." Choices! My staples are: Bergamot, Grapefruit, Lavender, Frankincense, Rose and Neroli. Currently I'm using Aveda's Bergamot and Rose Absolute and Lavender from Half Moon Bay Lavender (<yum). Testers! The Good Earth brand is good stuff! I buy their Lavender often.
Note the Dr. Haushcka products lower left, a favorite of mine for body oils. Try soothing Buckthorn body oil, or Birch Arnica Revitalizing body oil. You can buy all this online, but I think it's really important to test things out in person, especially scents. |
